Subject: transmaps in 3dsmax and PPP

I once saw someone ask about this problem with hair trans maps in Max hosting pz3 files with PPP. Nobody had an answer at the time. I tweeked the trans settings for the materials (subobject etc.) but they don't seem to make any difference. The PPP update has helped a lot! At least Max doesn't crash all of the time. Too bad it's not perfected. Renderosity and its members are the best! Henry

Go into extended perameters and in advanced transperancy reduce the falloff amount to zero ( or a low figure) ( this is in the materials editor of course)

PS: your filter in advanced transperancy should be 50/50 grey

By golly, that did it. I saw those parameters but I didn' t mess with them. Thank you so much, Omega. I'm going to post another PPP goofy question to challenge the Renderosity brain trust.
