 Oops, almost forgot that I was up next. I thought I'd let you play with one of my IR shots. This unedited (except for size) photo was taken from the opposite direction in my image Exploring Candyland. I was on the bridge when I took the other photo. With an image like this I normally use the Auto Levels command in Photoshop and then tone it down as needed, then swap the red and blue channels. The link to the tutorial explains the process if you are interested. I also left the EXIF data attached to the image if you care to look. I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with. I may post my favorite variation in my gallery as a collaborative work if you guys are interested.

I downloaded your photo and want to learn the techniques he's showing, but he's going through the steps so fast... and that video is very small and extremely blurry, with no sound.  I can't even see which palette he's using, much less what selection is being made.  Any other sites?

I do have one made up (I like IR) but tomorrow I am going away, and if I post it I have to start a  next one and I can not commit myself, realy sorry Kort. I don't think it was dud, but many of great photigraphers don't know what to do with an IR shot.

Here's a quick one, I added a lens flare.

Good color conversion there. I'm on the fence about the flare, but it certainly does add something to it. Maybe because the flare has so many colors, it seems out of place.

Thanks, Kort! I might try another one tomorrow. It was interesting playing with the colors. Some of the gradients I played with were beyond psycadelic!

Could be just me, but I think the lense flare may be just a bit too much in the center, splittling the image almost verticaly as it is now. It's pretty much vying for attenttion with the rest of the image. As I see it that might be more of a problem than the colors. Perhaps a different angle for the lense flare would work better?

Oooo, I like that a lot! I think we have a winner. High contrast and great colors. :) If you'd like to post it in your gallery as a "collaborative" work, then feel free Kim. If you can post a link back to this thread, that would be great -- if you do it.
