What are they ,I dont notice anything different.

They are lighting  you have to load one in in the sky lab under the IBL tab. There are different ones you can get to use. Then you set your settings how you want it to affect your image.

In 6.1 is that you can rotate the HDR image around the scene. If you wanted to do this before, you had to rotate the whole scene, camera included.

It's also faster in 6.1 than in 6.0. Something to do with soft shadows and such. There's several good old posts/threads with Agent Smith about the differences between 6.0 and 6.1.
