Subject: Armpits and Shoulders Fix Using P7 Morph Tool

Hi all,

As I am sure you are all painfully aware, most - if not all - Poser humanoid figures suffer from what I call "the ragdoll syndrome". This is where the limbs fold up like a ragdoll when bent, and where the armpits nearly go thru' the top of the shoulders. V3 and M3 are the worst offenders here.

I have seen somewhere a tutorial where you can use the P7 morph tool to rectify this problem, but can't now find it. I was wondering if someone can give me a link for this, please.

thanks,
Andrew

There was also a freebie, I think here, fix for the V4 armpit.

There's a new V4 armpit fix on page 1 of Renderosity Freebies.

Thanks, jonnybode, but this doesnt address the issues.

I'm mainly talking about the armpit and the fold in the elbow. The solution that I saw was via a tutorial, and it used the P7 morph tool.

Aha!

Armpits, elbows and buttocks, they are all the same to me :-)

Seriously, saw something about shoulders and elbows in the file and thougth it could be of use.
Have you tried using magnets (they are your friends) and then spawn morphs from them?

Regards / Jonny

Ya spose I could use magnets. They are unbelievably klutzy though (:

To clarify any misunderstandings :

(a)

I wasn't talking about the tops of the shoulders themselves, although I recognize that as a separate issue. I was talking about how there is very little distance between the armpits and the top of the shoulders(1, in the attached image).

Likewise for the distance between the fold of the elbow and the outside of the elbow (2). Furthermore, I didn't mention the horribly atrophied forearms (3). All together these give V3 "ragdoll arms".

(b)

It wasn't a fix pose that I saw. It was a tutorial using the P7 morph tool.

regards,
Andrew
