I think that thread had something to do with one of two sites that were being talked about at the time. One site had something to do with a set of models Stanford Uni. had been scanning. The other site had to do with some other mobels someone else discovered being scanned, but of lower quality. I think that one had a bunch of vases.. amphora.... I may have the link for both bookmarked... I'll have to get it from my other laptop tomorrow.
Do you wan't the amphora or the scene for the HDRI?
I'm thinking the object was in the stanford shape archive or digital michaelangelo. It's not on any of these now. I may have it on another machine if Death doesn't have it. In the meantime try.

This is a huge search engine but some of the links are old Like 3Dcafe.
Glad to see you back home again, Jan

Sometime ago, way back, maybe last year, AgentSmith posted a HDRI scene with an amphora in it to demonstrate how realistic it would look using the right lighting. I believe he made the scene file available in that thread. It was subdued lighting but the amphora really stood out! I need to locate it....=)
Since I can only work from home now, I'm doing advertising product shots and that would help emensely, otherwise I'll be fiddling with the scene and not actually doing the work.
Can anyone remember the thread I'm talking about???
