hey guys how r u all?

I have a scene in poser that consists of Stonemasons Backstreets scene and a car OBJ which i have textured my self with reflections

my problem is when i try to render the attached message appears, i have tried doing the things listed in the message as well as trying to delete as much as i dont need from the scene but i still get the message.

Is this resolvable or is it just my computer being too slow.

Thanks for reading

Hi RetroDevil,
When I got that message I rendered as a separate process and have had no trouble since.
As you've already done this you could try a few area renders and combine the results in photoshop or similar. It may be possible to render only the background then use that render as a background image, not sure if a background image shows up in reflections as I've not done it myself. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi thanks for the reply, now that you mention it i didnt try to render in a different process. Cos i dont know what that is LOL

What does rendering in another process mean?

Ill give the area render thing a go if that doesnt work

Thanks again for the quick reply

It's like running a separate program to do the render and has benefits if you find yourself running out of memory.
Go to edit>general preferences, this will open a dialogue box. Click on the Render tab and tick the box marked Separate Process.
When I first bought Poser I was plagued with crashes, doing this stopped the problem and I haven't had a crash in months.
Good luck and let me know if it works.
Cheers,
Mike

Well if your car has raytraced reflections and the scene prop has those too, then your render will be dog slow, no matter how powerfull you computer might be. Lower the bucket size (as low as 12 perhaps) and think hard if you need every element in the scene to be visible in raytracing. Allso lower your raytrace bounces to 2. Lot's of reflections ---> slow render.
