THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: What AgentSmith Has been up to............

Zhann ( ) posted Mon, 31 December 2007 at 11:30 PM · edited Sat, 02 November 2024 at 8:37 AM

**The email  AS sent to me...

"....Greetings everyone,

Hope all is well as possible with you all and know that I really wish I could be a regular part of Renderosity as I had used to, yet my little job on Avatar has quickly lead me literally across the street to help start up a new facility to house the new Robert Zemeckis remake of A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey. This is the same Production team that just came off of making Beowulf and luckily I have landed in the Motion Capture department. Very exciting, cool stuff.

Yet, my days are as long and hectic as they have ever been. In fact, I have been made permanent, and will be working 10-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week until at least April, and maybe until June. And, even after that, this new facility will be used for 2-3 more back to back motion capture, 3D types of movies, so it looks as if I have a job that will go on for quite a long time.

So, the unfortunate bottom line is that my time barely allows for any normal sleep, much less anything else in life (online) thus, I hate to say it, but I will officially not be able to return to work at Renderosity. I was hoping to find a job with normal hours, yet no job in the film industry seems to be normal, lol.

You all have my greatest thanks for being so great and kind to me over the past 5 years. My time at Renderosity is something I am always telling the people around me about!

Please, all take care and I truly hope to have some (any) time off on these holidays, so I can come by Renderosity to actually visit and say hello to everyone.

But, as far as my current job goes, I (or anyone) can shout about it all day long, anywhere. I guess I'm finally legit, lol.

Take care all, and again, thank you all so very, very much, as I miss my online home so much. That and sleep.  ;o)

Happiest of Holidays to everyone...."

Wish him all the best from me, Zhann.  I'm glad he's happy but let him know we miss him, as well.

Well congrats to AS for making the leap that not one everyone can do. Bit of envy from my quarters I'll tell you...waaaay better than doing small characters in strange 'B' movies like I get...sigh...oh to use what we've learned is our fervent prayer, heh heh heh.. ...

How selfish is that, sleep is for wusses lol! Seriously though I'm very sad that we are losing our Brycing father, but so very pleased and happy that you are hitting the big time.
Thanks for all the help and dedication you have given over the years, and all the very best for the future Kirk!

I'll be staying, but won't be as active as I once was....I have a gallery in Aspen looking over my paintings for possible inclusion in the gallery, so I have my fingers crossed...=) Means more painting less computer, and hopefully more money I can earn without a car. Todd also just moved up to a company with great benies, paid holidays, more an hour, massive overtime oportunities, and a company truck. So we're feeling kinda good right now....keep your fingers crossed.

And thank everyone who has been pulling for us. Okay, this may sound weird but I believe if enough people put  the effort to wish another person well, that they can actually direct the flow of energy in the cosmos to that person to help them, so thanks guys, you're the best.

I'm happy to know you're feeling better, too, Jan.  Good luck with the gallery and if you need any help around here just let me know.  I'm always up for helping.

Lots of good thoughts and prayers still heading your way as they have been since Todd told us.

Way to go AS! I always thought that you had the "right stuff" to pursue 3D as a profession. We'll miss you, but we're all pulling for you. Thanks for all your 'how-to's",  freebies, wisdom, and the laughs we shared over the years!  Thank you Jan for letting us know what Kirk is up to these days. I also believe in the power of prayer. If enough people concentrate and agree on an intention, nearly anything is possible.

Come back!!

;-)

Actually, congrats! Do try to visit when you can, like during holidays, vacation, or on a day you're not working, or just come during work! Say it's research ;-) Toss a few links to visuals, keep your web site updated, so at least we can see what you're up to. But definately don't forget your old stomping grounds!

Oh, and sneak some Bryce visuals in those FX things you're doing ;-)

Ok maybe he won't be able to continue in the mod role, but he will always be welcomed back here into the family fold that this forum has become for so many of us. Please pass on a big congrats to him, it's a big step and we's all proud of him.
Zhann, I am glad to hear about the gallery/artwork possibility (git them fingers crossed for her on this folks!) and about the hubby's suituation. We look forward to you popping in more too!
Bobby/Rod, I know we've welcomed you aboard before but welcome aboard again!
Hope everyone has a great new year coming!

AS,
Sad for us but WOW! Kirk!  That's fantastic news.  What a wonderful thing to happen.  I've only had a couple of connexions with 'the media' but enjoyed every moment and I know what you mean about the lack of sleep.

I'm so jealous.

Zhann,

That's great to hear things are finally starting to pick up for you, and nice to think that things can turn your life around, no matter how awful it looks.

Bobby and Rod,
I'm so glad we've got you fellas to keep things ticking over in the forum.

It almost sounds like it's good news (more or less) all round - woops, there goes another chicken.... egg...

GREAT STUFF! I hope you enjoy every minute AS. If you get to pop in and say hi we would all love to see how you are going. I will keep an eye out for the film, can you give us a heads up as to what bits you were involved in so we can drool and go green with envy on it all, and get the dvd and fast forward to just the bits with YOUR stuff???

if you get to give us any insights into that mad world we would be really appreciative. Thanks for all your work over the time here, you will be sorely missed. jen
