re tilt of hat... it reminds me of the one winona ryder wore in Bram Stoker's Dracula, the day she met Dracula and went to the "movies" ... except hers was tinier. i like it :) so... for the textures i would love to see exactly the same as what winona was wearing... except i think she had a much bigger bustle.

do more bewitch me than when art is too precise in every part
Phil, The tilt of the hat is just fine! She looks like 1890 or so (one of the "'tween bustle, but lots of slips" decades). Without the ribbons behind, she could be textured for the Old West (I wore something similar in a LARP set in gold country), but the tassels are fine. An extra layer of ruffles at the hem would be wonderful (but tricky to do), if not, perhaps a bit more "sweep" to the skirt? The slips were made with ties so that the fullness was in back. Proper corsetry would give a slightly different silhouette, but you want the dress to fit the standard model. Stripes and chevrons were a common pattern. Perhaps a rose could be tucked onto the hat? For accessories, a walking stick or drawstring purse would both be suitable. Anyway, this is looking really good! Carolly the Anticipatory
