Greetings,

This will be of interest ...

As seen in today's online NYTimes, please read,

Hmmmm looks like the company wasn't insured for not delivering. Very bad all round. Doesn't put photographers in a good light.

I suppose it would be in bad taste to advice them that I can do the job but they would have to fly me from Australia and put me up for a couple of days lol

It would seem that Hawk23 was volunteering to,

advice them that I can do the job

... Provided that,

they would have to fly me from Australia and put me up for a couple of days

As I read the article, they cheated not only the clients, but also cheated
(or at least delayed payments to) the photographers.

As to visiting the NYC area ... be sure to keep me advised of your travel plans.

Lol no I wouldn't be working for them mate but directly with the clients that now have to try and get new photographers for their upcoming weddings. If its anything like here photographers are booked months if not years in advance :-)

Ahhhhh ... I see.

The problem is that in some cases, the wedding and photography have
already happened ... but without the finished (promised) delivery of albums.

Restaging the wedding event would be quite expensive -- the couple
qouoted in the article indicated the husband was working two jobs to pay
off the reception.

Yeah mate its really bad for those ones that have already gone through it.. Thats why doing wedding work is so nerve wrecking particularly when one doesn't do it all the time. Just far too many things can go wrong and you could be left with just about nothing.

I see that Hawk23 was worried that,

you could be left with just about nothing

Oh, I don't know ... the last thing my ex-wife said about the Wedding Album
was, "That's nothing I want."

Quote - Very bad business.

Thats putting it lightly, this story tops many that I have seen on Day Time Court shows.

Disgusting. The couple paid for the service and they (the company) claims copyrights. Fat chance crooks.

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP
