Subject: options re smoothing?

I have Poser 3. I can't find a way to vary the smoothing options. In my spaceman model, I want to smooth the flexible parts of his body and spacesuit, but not the hard parts (helmet, neck seal ring, faceplate, life support backpack). In my Bryce 3.1 it is easy: set the maximum smoothing angle to say 120 deg (obtuse angle), and that smooths the soft parts and the rounded hard parts adequately but leaves the angles in the hard parts alone. But Poser's native rendering smooths all angles and makes his hard parts look half-melted.

heya; as far as i know, you have to smooth/crease your obj files before using them in poser.

I do set his chest (which includes his helmet and his life support backpack) to "no bend", and Poser 3's renderer still maximum smooths everything.
