If you have the image in a backgroundless format such as .png or .pspimage or .psd format, you can try right clicking the Eraser tool and going over where the background should be. In Paint Shop Pro that will reveal whatever background that was there before it was removed. Doesn't work all the time, but sometimes it can reveal a credit.
