Hello again everyone... as usual I have a question. Would V4 even work with Poser 5?

I only have Poser 5 and V3 to date.. so, like someone else mentioned on this forum recently, I really, really hope merchants will keep making pretty characters and clothes for her.

Yes, and for $21 you can buy my V 4.1 remap UVS and then use your V3 skin textures for both.  I remapped V4.1 using only Poser 5 and UV Mappper Pro.

Well, I don't really have a V4 and not sure when I'll have the coin to buy her. Does your remap thing work the opposite way.. ie, can you make V4 skins and clothes fit V3?

Unless 3D Universe have finished their new Texture converter, I seriously doubt anyone has made a way to convert V4 skins to V3.  The templates for V4 are a royal pain in the arse.

Clothes, however, can be converted with PhilC's Wardrobe Wizards 1 and 2.

In any case, there must be a million skins available for V3.  I don't think you'll be running out any time soon.  Bear in mind V3 can also use Aiko 3 and Steph Petite textures.  And Michael 3 and David, should you be so inclined.

No.  UVS files are mesh selective.  The can only be used on the figures from wich they were created.  Sorry.

V4 can be used in Poser 5 but unless you edit a lot of files to change the version number you will get a lot of warnings about a newer version becouse all the files are set for P6. The poser joint falloff system was improved slightly between poser 5 and 6 and V4 was created using the P6/7 joint settings. so you will find that some bends are not as good in P5 as they are in P6/7 and studio.
