The other day I was going through the marketplace when I noticed the was a Model of the Terminator robot. I was going to get it but now it's gone. Can any one tell me where it went or who the artist is? I realy want tnat model. Thanx in advance

It's possible that it was pulled due to Trademark issues. Sometimes a model is also pulled temporarily due to functional problems with the model too.

You can try asking in the Marketplace Forum and see what they say.

Since the Terminator robot is pretty high profile, and a new tv series is even featureing him, I'm amazed it would even be added to the marketplace.

The good one of the two is still up! www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php
The other one actually called Terminator just was.....well....not good.

It's head was way too wide and didn't have the right construction at all! One other problem was a killer.  It was so polygon heavy, it'd almost kill my machine everytime I'd load it!

I hated it.

The XCC-800 even has morphs to open the skull up so Sara Conner can pull the chip out to consider breaking it.

There is also the CA-800 Cyber Assassin by * scooby37*

I have the XCC-800, which is a very nice model.  In fact, I used it in one of the Poser Forum banners.  :)

I don't have the CA-800 version but if it's anything like the quality of FutureCop (which I do have) by the same artist, it will be very good.

*I'm amazed it would even be added to the marketplace. *The Futurecop was allowed as well and It even says OCP on the legs. I bought this knowing exactly what it was, and knowing I I'd be pretty dumb to try and use it commerically, But thats not fair on anyone that might not know.

There wasn't a free version around at the time, but there is now..(see link above) - nice model made by GingerTom for M3.

As for the terminator model theres one here...

...it's not poseried but a collection of 3ds files.

Actually after seeing the superbowl inserts of the Fox sports robot, and the T-800, I want both.. even if in toy form!

the terminator question gets asked in this forum about 1-2 times per annum.

whilst it's possible that any of these marketplaces may have things that look
identical to celebs or sci-fi characters, they generally allow them if the name
is changed to avoid any searchable terms that legal aides working for the
copyright/trademark owners' lawyers might pick up on google.  however, this
policy may change if google institutes an image search function for images
that resemble each other, similar to pixcompare and other image comparison
algorithms.  it will definitely make it easier for those trying to find the sources
of photomanips posted in online galleries, as well as for our artists here trying
to locate their work stolen by tubers.

Thanx guys for you feedback. I have to agree with Gareee, I want both but only can afford one right now, so hopefuly the other will still be next month. Thanx again. Oh,BTW I'm going to go with the C-900.

So if they bought out a Mr Potato Head T-100 would that make it a Tuber-nator ?

Sorry that was bad :) LOL

nah..it's people owning PSP that find images, and create 'tubes', that sort of let you squeeze out the original image, and call it 'art'...;) since you didn't create the original artwork.

such people live below ground, have spots on them, and are quite tasty when cooked...woops, wrong tubers..;)
