I did this mostly for Vue, but some of it it should apply to Bryce as well, hope it helps :)

getting poser imports to NOT suck up all yer RAM etc ;)
I added it to tutotial section so hopefully should be on Rendo's tut list soon.

Thanks for the tut... Now if only Bryce will stop asking the stupidest question of all: Where is the mat?

LOL

Wasn't sure I was doing something right with this import thingy into Bryce from Poser... I still have a few strands of hair left from this gashing of the teeth at Bryce when importing from Poser. At least with these few tips and advice from the experts here, I can begin to unwind those crossed fingers and other appendages... Whew

Also there is a utility in Free Stuff here called Grouper which allows you to look at any, not only Poser, .obj and drag identical textures into one file say for example you have the same brick in a building on many different walls just drag all the numbered ones onto the first brick and you reduce texture channels by that many iterations of the brick you have collapsed from. I use this a lot in the oh so heretical TG2 as it's limited to 16 texture channels and cool models often have way more, but often repeats of single collapsable textures.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

That's simple, tell it "the mat is under the cat"
