At a time when both DAZ and Poser are trying to present themselves to the professional CG community as competent for professional work, this kind of amateurish incompetence hurts us all.

if I understood correctly, in order to use mohprs on V 4.2, we'll need to redownload and reinstall all her morph packages again? I mean, the ones originally for v 4.1?

I'm glad I haven't gotten around to using V4... just look at all this fun I've been missing!

Whoa, boy........I think that I'll just wait a week or two before downloading & installing anything.  It'll keep.

So if I can resume...

1.- V4.2 is only available for D/S by the moment

2.- The default installation kills V4.1 changing her with a model without morphs and the mess duplicates the old V3 with her booored system of adding each f****** morph you need

I suppose there is a way to install V4.2 avoiding this... I remember a trick in the past to avoid 'That-Ugly-Thing-Called-Sara2' installation would change a single poly of cute Sara1...

All downloaded and  all works as it should. All's well that ends well, I guess.
Interested to see what the next V4.2 offering is.

Ok, I now have the Victoria 4.2 base.  Should there also be 4.2 versions of the morphs?

BTW, I bought the Victoria 4 Pro bundle, which included Morphs ++.

Mine does not take injections for V4.1 and teh Daz thread is locked now. Everyone has noticed this. They are supposed to be working on it but I don't know if it is fixed or not.

I also have the V 4.1 Pro Bundle. I think I will wait for a few days and let all of you adventurous souls beta-test this for DAZ. Don't be shy telling us what doesn't work right. If you can't avoid headaches yourself, tell the rest of us what the bugs are.

Well, I think I have a trick. I have both Poser6 & 7 in my laptop. My default installation runtime is P6, so V4,1 is stored there (but I use P7 for rendering)

I'll install the new stupid gal in P7 to test her, so no one file of my previous V4.1 will be touched and if I decide the update is nicely moronist I can uninstall her preserving the right gal

Unlike 4.1 and 4.0 , the morphs for 4.2 has to be injected before they work just like in V3, there is a new map in the daz-victoria map with morphs injectors.
It makes some sense: the figure is much lighter without all the morphs loaded, but I agree that it's a little bit confusing.

No problems here, did you uninstall the old V4 first?

No, and I didn't install the uninstaller for V4.  Which files do I need to delete?

According the DAZ  FAQ V4.2 will install over the old V4.1 files without problems, but I uninstalled the old V4.1 first.

According to the error message, its looking for an ini file that doesnt exist. 
How did I know there was going to be some kind of cluster-%^&* with this release?  ;)

Got her, installed her, injected her morphs onto her and saved her to my library like that for ease of use. So......the male morphs don't work in the minus, huh? That's a bummer. Ah well, at least I got her working fairly painlessly.

Just edit the settings. DAZ has some crazy limits on most of the morphs. I end up editing most of them to get more usability out of them; guess I've been spoiled with Apollo's reversible dials ;)
