Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 31 9:45 am)
I haven't found an easier way yet than to block out each step then go back and tweak the frames between. I used IK while I blocked out each step then turned it off to tweak the in between frames. You will probably have to go through and tweak it a couple of times.
I'm working on one with V3 walking up a spiral staircase. Why I ever decided I needed a spiral staircase is beyond me, but if I change the staircase I need to remodel about half of the resort I've modeled:)
It's flat out time consuming and will wear on your patience, but I guess that's why they call it animation:)

Quote - how did you whip that out so fast?
ain't dat what the white house interns useta ask bubba?
no, but seriously, it's just a 2-step walk cycle - start with standing pose, jump to frame
7, drag hip over step 1, apply stair pose 1 from pose library, jump to frame 13, drag hip
over step 2, flip pose, jump to frame 19, drag hip over step 3, flip pose back to pose 1,
and that's it. then one can drag the hip to new steps in 6-frame increments, flipping pose
each time. takes about 15 minutes to do the above (49 frames). (drag using translation
tool in orthographic view).

Hello
I am still climbing the stairs..the problem was the figure went thru the stairs even after I set the main keyframes..in face he kinda glided thru them.
So now I am having to do this keyframe by keyframe so is there an easier way as here is what I am doing.
1. I advance forward one frame.
2. I manually enter in the xyz values
3. I create keyframe
4. I advance forward another keyframe.
Is there another faster/easier way?
Thank you.
