Hi guys,

Is anybody else experiencing problems with sixus1's home site or is it just me.???

It keeps on coming up as unavailable, blah blah, the usual Internet explorer response when it cannot connect to a site.

There are models there I NEED to buy NOW. Hee.

I'm using Firefox here & I'm getting a similar non response from the site, looks like you'll have to need a bit longer ;)

Khai says...

We're down due to server issues. Beka's working on getting our store and forums back up and running, but all our models are for sale at CP.

sixus 1 still not up???.

I know that I can get the models through CP. but I prefer to buy direclty from the vendor + Sixus1's prices for some models are much better.

Alas, my window for purchasing has now passed. Maybe next month.

sixus1 ( ) posted Mon, 18 February 2008 at 6:08 PM

Sorry about that guys.....too long to go into, but it will be up within a week.....and I do appreciate that you prefer to buy direct, but when it really comes down to it...it is all the same....at our store or at the others.  I even dropped the prices down some of the prices to mimic the sale prices that we had on our newest figures as well as the rest of the Cirque du Macabre line of figures.

Here is my other email for those who need it xioliableu@gmail.com

Les here...

Just a general notice to any interested in what's up with us. As a business, from time to time circumstances arise that cause you to have to really consider the direction you're heading in and whether or not your focus is where it really needs to be. We've had a very good run through the years with our store, but for a plethora of reasons, we've decided it is simply time to close the store down. While the reasons for this decision are numerous, there are a couple that I will site as being primary. 1. The store simply represented a frightening workload for Rebekah. As the store's size would sometimes grow, and others recede, it always seemed that no matter what, it just kept turning into more and more work for her on top of her other responsibilities with our business. 2. when comparing the cost in both hours of maintenance work and actual fees, it came to attention rather boldly that our business could operate a lot more cost effectively if we return to selling as a vendor through other marketplaces. And 3. we realized that an important factor in our business has always been being open and available throughout the community, not just in terms of sales but also in terms of forum activity and personal accessibility. Closing down the store and forums will alleviate a massive amount of stress for Rebekah (and me too! we are married, y'know....) and should open up our time a bit more, allowing us to return to a greater level of forum activity.  We are considering a return to the Rendo marketplace, due both to changes on our end and here at Rendo, and our products will continue to be released through Content Paradise.  Our home website will be returning in the near future with it's focus being combined for  the promotion of our studio and the work it is involved in both in and beyond the world of Poser as well as support for and cultivation of a growing list of custom clients.

If anyone has any questions regarding Sixus1 Media, our products, projects, etc, etc., please feel free to post them in reply here or contact us privately on this site or at the email Rebekah listed above.

Thanks!

I'm sad to see the forum go.  I can, however understand about stress relief! I worked myself into a stroke last year do to the enormous stress I was under.  It sure wasn't worth it!  I hope to see you folks around somewhere.  Hang in there!

Life, love and health are much more important than a forum and a store of your own. ^__^V,,

What is it about creating things for poser that's so hazardous to people's health? Perhaps it should come with a government health warning on the box, I hope you're looking after yourself Joel, there's far too many people on the memorials list as it is without you working yourself onto it as well.

 I have no plans to end up on any memorials anytime soon. Poser is a hobby to me, but my JOB is what almost killed me.  Any job that you don't love, that stresses you out of your mind isn't worth it.

Work will always be stressful, but hobbies like Poser help relieve stress.

Take it easy and don't work your selves to hard. Working oneself to death is not good. The dominant construction Light fixture supplier in my area had an Estimator who worked day and night and wouldn't slow down. He was found dead on his desk from a stroke. My Manager in the construction publication business who worked very hard had a heart attack. The manager from one of our other offices had a heart attack also the same year. I had a health failure as well not long after that myself. Then while in therapy I came across a man working in a Mobil Station who used to work at a high pressure financial firm who had a heart attack and quit that job to save his life from all the stress. Life is to short. Life is for living. For everyone who works hard take time to take care and enjoy life. @ sixus1 I look forward to you guys having time to be in forums more. Woot! @ JOELGLAINE I'm glad you plan to stick around. -_^

yes, yes!  everybody should take care of themselves, and part of that is rest and relaxation.  it's easy to take one's body for granted when the mind is revving.  i'm sorry to hear the store and forums are going away, but i know how much work maintenance on a community site can be, let alone one that has a store.  it's more than a full-time job.  so take it easy, and good luck to all of you!

Well it's good to see people thinking about their health instead of all those extra working hours they might be able to fit in.

That doesn't sound quite right.....

instead of all those extra working hours they mistakenly think they should fit in.

That sounds better. :D

@Les

One question i have. Due to a crash of my external disk, i lost the last files i purchased at your store. Is here a way to get them back when you won't reopen the Sixus Store?

Hello, i have a small question related to this. Will you consider posting the freebies that were on your site to your shareCG portfolio along with the Orc and others, or are they gone for good? (too bad my hard-disk space prevented me from downloading them while the site was still up)

sixus1 ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2008 at 3:08 PM

**Arvanor: I did not get an email from you.  Try messaging me here instead I guess.

Bob-Morane:  Most of those freebies will be back up when our new site comes up soon.  The reason that I didn't put them on ShareCG is because most of those were created by a super nice guy called 'en' and we distribute them for him...I didn't like the idea of putting them up at a place where we could potentially get paid. **
