Subject: Poser 7 ~ Aiko 4 ~ Conforming clothes

Pedrith ( ) posted Sat, 23 February 2008 at 5:41 PM · edited Wed, 06 November 2024 at 11:53 AM

Hi.  I have not used Poser 7 for at least a year and have never really used V4 when I originally bought it.  I now have Aiko 4 and I'm very pleased with her now that I know how to get the morphs working, but, I'm having trouble with conforming clothes.  I've been playing around with some of the clothes that came in the Aiko4 pro bundle and am having trouble getting the clothes to conform properly to the character.  I'm not using the default A4 but used the morphs and muscles morphs to make her look the way I want her to look, yet when I conform the clothes to her, they don't fit right as parts of the body are ripping through.

Like I said it has been well over a year since I used Poser so any helpful suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

David

If the clothes have the morphs you are using on Aiko, dial them on similar settings. If the clothing does not have the morphs you use you will need other helpers - either you fix it with Posers Morph Brush or you use magnet., of course you coult use a Tool like the Tailor or Wardrobe Wizard to transfer the morphs to the clothing, too.

Okay.  Thanks.  I'll have to start writing all my settings down and make sure that I input the same info into the clothing.  You would think that conforming the clothing would automatically check the figure and match things up so I wouldn't have to do it by hand.

Hello David,

If you are all interested there is a magnet set at daz for A4 to aid you in fitting clothing to her morphs.

If the clothes have the same morphs as the figure, you can just select the figure after morphing and copy the morphs to the clothing, using the copy/paste option under edit in Poser. Much easier than trying to remember what dials you spun :-)

Hi Sarah.  I tried to do that but nothing happened.  Should I be selecting the part that I morphed or should I select the whole body?

Thanks,

David

Ok, the way I do it is, I load V4, and then add her clothing (which must have the V4 bodymorphs built in, such as the Morphing Fantasy Dress) then I spin the dials on V4 to make her like I want. Making sure V4 Body is selected, I go to edit/copy. Then, I select the item I am adjusting, and make sure it's body is selected also. and then use edit/paste. USUALLY this works. I have noticed in some clothing items it doesn't. Most things I convert with WW won't take the morphs pasted in, but most other things do. It is always worth a shot, :-). Hope I helped a little bit.
