My new camera should be here Monday afternoon
I bought a Canon Rebel XT with 2 tamron lenses and a wide/macro angle attachment, off ebay last week, I know it's not the best camera out there but $588 for all that + access and memory, I found was a good deal, and a good start to my new hobbie :)

I hope that some one in here uses digital slr's cause I am sure to have a multitude of questions LOL.

Just kidding, not sure if the highway will be done in time still lots of miles to go on that one.

Yeah Squamish is a great place lots of photographic areas here..wildlife, scenery, people, crazy looking buildings, flowers...I can't wait.

Welcome to the world of digital photography!
Don't worry about the equipment not costing tens-of-thousands of dollars - it's mostly what you DO with it that will make the difference.
