I am not even sure why I am posting this since I don't have Carrara 6 yet. But apparently is out today for download for anybody that might be interested.

You need to reset it in your download section @ DAZ to be able to get it.

 Folks may want to wait just a bit. The reset option requires you to download the full version which is almost 500M. I'm sure that there will be a smaller patch to do the upgrading with.

AND, it's far better than the list of "updates "might suggest.
I feel sorry for those who lost faith and went to other apps.

 Well, I took the plunge. I finally got it. Now, should I uninstall Carrara 5.1 Pro?. I don't have any extra plugins on it.

 No, you can have multiple versions of Carrara living happily on the same computer.

I uninstalled the 6.03 but when I installed the 6.1 autorun it installs fine but in the about box it says it is now 6.0?   Something is wrong here.  (This was from the reset option on DAZ site)

Anyone else have issues?

My splash says 6 as well, but when I right click on the .exe & under version it does indeed say 6.1. Still bizarre though.  It appears some have this issue & others don't - go figure.

Hmmmm.  Mine says 6.084?  When I right click on exec.  I'll say this is weird.

That is bizarre! Do you have the new hair curl tool & clump tool listed in the hair area?  If not then something definitely went amiss during install. I checked this as a double check so to speak after I saw the 6 on the splash screen as well.

Something was funky in the original unzipping, cleared and unzipped again and now see the 6.1.  Sigh of relief.  Now to have some fun.

 I tried to reset the Carrara5pro to Carrera6pro in my history at - The New and Improved DAZ site - the art zone layout is pretty cool.  So far, I like it.  The less I have to click around to find something, the better.  

I'm wondering if I needed to purchase a full version to receive the update to 6.1 or is the upgrade enough?  I imagine most people here had Carrara5Pro and just upgraded.

On a side note:  I'm sitting at the computer at my kitchen table watching red poles fight for a place at at a hanging bird feeder.  It is amazing.  These little birds just eat and eat and eat. The price of being able to watch these little wonders is added clean-up this summer.  All that white stuff at the base of the feeder isn't snow.

You resetting what you did is enough - it is the update.  As mine was the same thing :)
