Believe me, it's "ram". I don't know what you are trying to render, but some things just take more memory than others, even though it seems like they shouldn't. I used to have 128 megs and I was always getting that "out of memory" error message. Now I have 256 megs, and although it doesn't happen nearly as often, I still have to be careful! Poser is one of the most ram hungry softwares on the market. The more you give it, the more it wants. But don't go buying ram now, cause it's skyrocketed in price right now!! Hold out till this steep price goes down again. When using intensive scenes in poser, save ram use by using the "paste to background" technique and turning of "shadows" when you render, (a real ram eater). I hope this helps you? Happy posing... I'm pretty sure Poser looks at virtual memory as well. Under NT, I couldn't even start the program untill I had allocated pagefiles to each of my hard drives, even though I was running with 512 mb ram. openGL...oh, puh-Leeeeease Meta!
