What happened ?  Or am I the only one seeing the YOU ARE THE 999,999 VISITOR CLICK HERE TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE !!!   Or the SCAN YOUR COMPUTER NOW in the side bar. I thought renderosity was better than that.

Hi!

I dont se any of that stuff here on Rendo, maybe you should do what the second ad proposes, (scan your computer), but not with the aid of a popup.

Regards / Jonny

I've never seen any of that stuff here either, as Jonny is hinting it kind of sounds like your browser has been hijacked if you are.

@sekhet ... i think you pc has a infection .. like the others here i NEVER EVER seen anything like that..
And im online here at Rendo a million time a day..
You better check you system for greyware malware spyware etc etc..

Those have a nasty thing that popups look like they belong to the site your visiting at that time
But in fact they come from malware on your PC..

Yep, as the others said, Renderosity doesn't run those kinds of ads.  You have an adware infection on your machine.

I had a 'Scan your computer NOW!!!' thing before, about a year and half ago.
It wasn't detected by AV scan. A Spyware scan found it, however.

Attached Link: Spybot - Search & Destroy

Download "Spybot - Search & Destroy" or some similar anti spy-ware application.

Whilst you are at it you might as well scan for viruses as well, you could try the free "CureIt" scan engine.

Thanks all,
I scanned with AdAware a few days ago, IE7 was acting up so I dumped it and installed Firefox, but I`m still haveing problems with my automatic cookie handling changing from accept all or block all from my custom settings.

pjz99 ( ) posted Sun, 09 March 2008 at 1:15 PM

That kind of thing (surreptitiously replacing banner content) isn't too likely caused by cookie funny stuff, it tends to be that some evil has infested your registry or worse, a spyware client has gotten installed on your machine and silently goes and downloads and installs more of its nasty little friends.

Yeah pjz99 I just finished a full scan and found 2 spyware entries in the registry, and one was even in Photoshop somehow, and a couple of others. Looks like I`ll be doing full scans for a day or two , as well as turning off the system restore, just to make sure its all gone.
