No, that ain't silly at all...... I suppose it depends on how much people want others to know about themselves - I mean, we have to consider that ANYONE can come here and read about us..... What I've found is that since the chat got up & running, we've found out SO much more about each other! At least there we can see who's around picking up on the info, and speaking about ourselves becomes much more personal and spontaneous (SP?)..... Just my thoughts. Mike. (",)
Oh my god....LOL...I think this is a great idea....and we can set up some good guidelines as well for contests, and stick to them ahem ahem, I know, me following a guideline LOL.. I honestly thought he was psychotic hamster! Look its so hot here, I am going to drink beer...something I only do on very hot nights....
Good God, What a response. And it was just a shot in the dark. For a start I don't think there should be too much personal detail but more of things that would interest all of us who are interested in photography and digital imaging. It would be good to know what city/country each one is writing from but no actual address. Then how long we have been doing photography/digital imaging. This will give the rest of us an idea of your status i.e. beginner, intermediate or advanced. That sort of thing. We don't want a lot of details of your favourite TV programmes or your favourite take-away. That's just for starters.
Count me in. Great idea! There could be few lines about cameras and equipments we have, what programs we use and our knowhow about current program. It would be nice to know, who to disturb when I have question about macro lenses, films, photoshopping, funny unknown programs etc. Great idea guys. :o) .n
LOL - Me, a psychotic hamster?!? I don't think so. I don't get psychotic unless people nick my cereal chewy bar.... It was all to do with the chat the other night, BSteph - I had a recent but pretty awful picture of myself to show the likeness between me and Syyd's latest wonderful creation - it was the only way to temporarily make it available! (Don't worry - I love this idea and will get a recent/decent one to add...give you something to cheer you up when you feel down.) (",) p.s. I. I. I.

Can I throw something into the melting pot that will probably horrify lots of you but I hope not. The Photography Forum has been up and running now for quite a few months and I really feel that we have become a close-knit community of friends who meet here with a common interest. And yet I know so little of any of you except your pseudonyms. I know that a few of you have posted pics of yourselfs but how about everyone giving a potted history of themselves and a photograph so that when we correspond through Renderosity we will know what the person looks like when we offer advice or comments on their work. Perhaps Syyd or Colm could compile a file that we could print off. Or am I just being silly?
