I recently heard a rumor from a co-worker who said they read in a forum that Renderosity and CP are to be parting ways. Can anyone confirm or deny such a thing?

yup, to be complete by end-of-march . CP advises people to make sure they have backups of all rendo purchases because they will no longer have records of them after March.

SM alos has given RDNA the axe as well..wonder how many more will be ditched

Probably everyone. Poser's going bigtime corporate. The new file format will be *.sms, and Poser will be a plugin to create and send naughty on-the-fly animations and images to your friends via your cell phone.

Jokes aside, you really have to wonder where they will take Poser next. I have this feeling it might not be in the direction any of us who use the product would wish it to go.
