Subject: Are Hiro and Aiko body parts interchangable...?

DarkEdge ( ) posted Sun, 16 March 2008 at 9:22 PM · edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 5:25 PM

Are they the same obj and same number of verts so that you could theoretically switch body parts...?

Hiro3:
72712 verts
74510  polys

Aiko3:
72712 verts
74510 polys

Although they are not the same OBJ, the differences appear to be only in morph.  I am pretty sure the UVs are the same, as both figures are able to take Unimesh textures.

The reason I ask is because I made a head morph for Aiko and tried it on Hiro and it worked beautifully. I haven't tried any other morphs yet, just thought it was weird that the head transferred so well.

Thanks for replying! 😄

They're the same base mesh I'm pretty sure.....I tried using Hiro's Definition morph on Aiko3 because I'm very disapointed she doesn't have one.....but it didn't quite work out like I wanted. (and looked really really odd)

So I'm assuming they can share just about everything. Haven't had time for other experiments lately.

The meshes of Aiko 3, Hero, V3 and SP3 are all cut the same, so morphs from one figure should work on the other without any additional work.

David & Stephanie can share morphs with little or no tweaking. Of course, some may not look all that great. And you might not always need to set them at full strength, for instance a Michael Jackson morph made for D3 looks best when only dialed to about 0.5 on SP3 instead of 1.0.
