Why do you cry and hide your tears?

Why do you hide when you should show your face?

Be this the day when time suddenly stops,

When life stands still,

When the bravest become weak in your presence,

When you say enough is enough,

When heavenly hollers are finally heard.

I'll always hold my hand out for your to hold,

I'll always be your friend,

When all else fails.

Forever by your side.

Why do I see only my fears?

Why do I bide my time and delay the inevitable?

Be this the day when I need someone to call my own,

My friend to turn to,

My angel to call to.

When life stands still,

You can only be brave and grit your teeth, trying to hide your weaknesses,

Hoping for the best,

And expecting the worst,

All I know is that when all else fails,

I'll be forever by your side.

We know not what paths we take and where they lead,

So why cry and hide your tears?

Let me wipe your fears away.

Why do these small hours seem so long?

Let me restart the clock and help you forward.

Let me be your angel, waiting for your call,

Stay my friend,

And I'll be forever by your side.
