Subject: Stumped! Poser 4 - clothing for ethnics...

Ok, now I am in Poser 4 - using one of the ethnic women - great no problem. BUT she is naked (sucks that there is not a set with clothes on like the white people). So I search thru the clothing and put a shirt on the ethnic woman - guess what? The shirt does not deform to her at all! Even if she is standing with her arms out (standard poser pose), the shirt is not exact - and the pant! I won't even get into that. What gives here?

When you load the clothing, you then have to go up and select conform to, and then choose the figure that is your ethnic model. Unless you morphed the characters body, it should fit fine, and it will stay put when you move her. Hope that made sense, haven't had the first cup of coffee yet this morning, and autocad is on the fritz again, so I am kind of "dumb" right now. Cheers, Angela

Wow... you went from Poser 3 to Poser 4 in one hour.

dangerousdavid ( ) posted Thu, 14 June 2001 at 2:20 PM

Nope - I usually work in Poser 3 (had it for about 3 years), even though I have Poser 4 (my old boss bought it for her business and when she closed shop, she gave it to me - lucky me!). I use poser 3 - most of the time for my work - the textures from TS4.3 work better ie; they stretch over the entire model whereas in Poser 4 they do not seem to cover the model - but this time I was stuck -- I needed to use the stock Ethnic people from Poser 4, so I switched back and forth. If you look back on my post in the last 4 months of so you will see that I have poser 4 and 3 questions respectively. I know piracy is a problem, but that is an accusation. I don't need to pirate stuff cuz my office buys it. I don't blame you for being anxious, but you should ask first before you accuse.

How exactly are you reading my statement as an accusation? I just thought it interesting that you posted asking for help with Poser 3 and then an hour later posted asking for help with Poser 4. I would have thought you would have started with Poser 4 because of the ethnic people included. I won't apology for accusing you... since I did no such thing. You may apologize to me though for assuming that I was in fact accusing you. =) Have a nice day.

Actually that was me, and I deleted the post.

Ookami, didn't mean to get your wires crossed there - the messages were in regard to Nosfiratu's message which he/she has since deleted. Actually, I would love to see 'Shadow of the Vampire' now that I think of it - but back to the point. No you did not accuse me of anything. It was another post that had the offending statement and I am sorry for the misunderstanding.
