You likely know the requirements for uploading to a thread, mainly 200kb max.   Gallery shots can be huge if you like but not on the threads.  Which image is it in your album?

Welcome Lex. Most people post their best work in their galleries but I am sure some might post a fav or two here. Why don't you start us off with a favorite of yours? Like Tom says, image files need to be 200KB or less in size, and either in JPG or GIF format. Gallery images can be up to 500KB in size.

Hey Tomdart, its the photo named "Blueyed Firedaemons" in the 'My Work' album (the only one up there so far...). Its currently only got the best pics from my recent trip (recent = january 2007) to the UK which was rad! Bear with me cos ive only just set up the site and ive only put those pics up (if ur interested in my work.....)

Yeah the pic is pretty big but it is currently in jpg format so i dont know whats going on... Should i attach it? How do you guys put it in so it actually appears in this message? Haha! Im so computer unorientated. Im a camera man, not a computer man! Im sure i'll skill up though! :D

Also, hope you guys arent 'offended' or whatever if i promote my own work/website... Some guys get REALLY pissed sometimes... :D

Psychikex, thanks for letting me know which photo.   To post here on a thread, when you look below the text box there is the "browse" button and that allows you to find a pic on  the computer and upload it.  I guess you have tried that.

The bottom line is the image is 3072 x2304 pixels and a post image is generally in the 800 wide or so size.  The system resizes it smaller for the thread but click the image and the bigger one comes up.   You need  to resize images to a smaller size and to save as jpg to a smaller file size .  Since you have an avatar I figure you do the resizing ok?
