Darn, I was going to put up one of mine as a suggestion. More of a back room than a landscape but still.
Mysterious Grotto

This is more landscape, but not as much backroom.
Cranberry Evening

And probably my best landscape.
Sunrise Cliffs

Oh well... just in case and alternative is needed. ;c) Shameless self service in action!
Ah well, there's no competing with that...

*why is Bryce always associated with SciFi?
*....umm, Actually it's not. It just happens to be a great piece of software for every type of scenario, from fractal, still life, enviromental, etc, etc, etc.[

Quote - ...umm,
I know whats it's capable of, i'm not exactly a beginner, and I fail to see the relevence of the link..... But I still think many Bryce scenes that I see (specially those in titles, reviews, banners or any official capacity advertising what Bryce is) are SciFi related.
Well with Bryce, comes the capacity to create more not normal scapes... scapes that fit the criteria of fantasy and sci fi. That is why there are so many things that Bryce related that are also scifi related. It is very striking and catches the eye too, eh. That is the psychological aspect of advertising. It makes people sit up and say WHOA WOW! So I guess that is why you are seeing what you are seeing...

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday
The link shows what the present flagship for Bryce is right now....that's DAZ. The flash presentation has no SciFi in it. The present packaging for Bryce is not SciFi.
I agree there is a lot of Sci Fi out there, but like Thunder was saying, it's in the advertising which is driven by the popularity vote.
Another thought I've had as of late....while looking at a wide variety of software & Imagery, there are quite a few programs that now far exceed Bryce in the Traditional Landscape capabilities.
Back when Bryce first started, it was probably the best thing going for landscape, especially since that's what it was originally designed for. As time went on and people have done every imaginable landscape scenario they could think of , they began branching out and using it for all sorts of styles, and one of these being SciFi, is very popular.
Finally I would disagree that Bryce is always associated with or typecast with SciFi.
As of late Fantasy has been making a big comback, and Abstract has been gaining in poularity.
You can certainly see the trends are changing along with many things in this world.
I've worked in the construction and design field for more than 20 years, it's the same there too, and even in clothing fashion. So many things.....another is Hollywood.
So many people.......So many Opinions. So many Artists...........So many styles.

I've searched through quite a few galleries, and still can't find what I'm looking for.
I need more Eyes & computers.....up to lending yours?
Mission:
The image is for the main "Bryce Backroom" page. I already have one for the links.
The image in question should probably be in a horizontal format, though a vertical format may work depending on the image.
Trying to find a style the has landscape genre, though doesn't have to be traditional landscape.
Semi Sci-fi landscape with mountains or a vista style to it.
Keep in mind that I will be cropping this image and fading the bottom edge, it's going to be a header image. 800x350 for the final edit.
Just drop your links in this thread.
Thanks
ICM
Oh...btw, the links page is looking pretty sharp. Thanks for all your help.
