I've created 4 new T-Shirt textures for the Poser 4 womens T-Shirt. Its nothing to fancy...but its a nice break from a plain color T-shirt. You can download all 4 textures from the "Fun Stuff" section.

Holy cow, you must have more laundry sitting on your scanner, than on your washing machine! Hey, at least if you stain one of the originals, you still have these as back-up! ..warn me before you post anything from Disney Studios, I'll need time to delete all of my cookies before the forum gets nuked by the infamous Disney Legal Reserve. Thanks for brushing the cobwebs off of the funstuff pages. Anson

Totally...we don't need another thread going 44+ strong about how we didn't well you know.....I hear they can be picky about how and where their names are used on products. PAN~ Hiring lawyers as we speak!

Are the companies that bad about having their name on poser clothes??? I'm new at Poser...so if I'm steping on any toes...please let me know.

PANdaRUS ( ) posted Fri, 17 September 1999 at 3:14 PM

New to poser? Hmm..you could have fooled me with those textures...did you create the girls texture? Your shirts are nice too! As for stepping on any toes..well you seem to be driving me out of business but other than that...hahaha...just kidding ya. Here's my advice on the issue: 1 - You are not using the brand names for a bad thing. Merely to create fake clothing that represents them. Sorta like if I drew a picture of a girl and tossed on a white and red striped shirt and said "she's wearing a Hilfiger shirt". 2 - You're not stating that those are the OFFICIAL brand name products and fooling people into downloading them. 3 - You're not trying to sell them as the brand name products or a derivitive of them. continued

So long as you don't go around doing #2 - 3 you should be ok. However I would suggest you be sure to put a disclaimer if you haven't in your downloads. Simply because I know that video game companies (the closest 3d creators that would fit this topic) tend to create games at times that would work out great with a brand name, such as racing games, and find themselves caught in red tape because of it. Take Grand Turismo for Playstation. Sony paid BIG bucks for the RIGHT to use the brand names of those cars. Honda, Mitsubishi, Dodge Viper, etc, were all brand names they had to pay a licensing fee to use. Even though the cars were make believe the companies in NO way wanted their names assosiated with them unless the fee was paid. Sony paid and they gained the rights to say "OFFICIALLY LICENSED CARS" on their packaging. On the same note a few other car racing games came out from smaller companies who couldn't pay the licensing fees for the names and could only make cars with the likeness of real cars...such as the Dodge Viper but couldn't put the emblems or state anywhere that it WAS the dodge viper...like SAN FRANCISCO RUSH 1 and 2 on N64. In the area of clothing I know that one of the Snowboarding games used OFFICIALLY LICENSED Tommy Hilfiger clothing and until they paid the fees to use the name they couldn't make the clothes look (like the styles)or bear the name Hilfiger. We've got a good bunch here so I wouldn't worry too much about Mr. Klein coming down from the heavens and suing you. PAN~

Soy-tenly! I thought you'd neva ask...Nyucknyucknyuck...woob boo boo boo... www.gag.com Thats the Graphic Artists Guilds official website. There you will find not only tons of art from other artists but important links concerning how to protect ones art from BAD individuals who don't give CREDIT. The latest copyright laws and other legal terms can be found there as well. One piece of advice...I wouldn't join. They are like the teamsters for the art community. Neeeyaaah. PAN~

Thanks for the link Pan, and don't worry, I was the president of A.I.G.A's Seattle Chapter, for a bit. That was easily the biggest dork-making experience of my life. Such organizations are composed of the most bizarre collection of ego's and opinions you will ever find, but I guess fanatics are the only ones who ever actually make things happen. 8^) Anson
