Subject: The Judge Sure Saw Through Her (Heather Mills)

Acadia ( ) posted Tue, 18 March 2008 at 10:24 AM · edited Thu, 09 January 2025 at 12:54 AM

Paul McCartney and Heather Mills reached a settlement in court. Thanks to a Judge who saw through her blatant greed she didn't get what she was seeking!

Here is the full Judgment. It's a very interesting read. It lays out the facts that were presented to the Judge and his findings.

No wonder she didn't want the Judgment published. Seems Heather Mills is quite the liar.

You know, you shouldn't believe all the media hype about that woman, she's had a rough deal from the UK media in particular and as a person has done many good things in her life for various charities, mostly with no publicity at her own behest!!

The British media can be extremely cruel and biased in it's reporting, we in the UK are used to it's lies and biased views on everything from Heather Mills to McDonalds so we can see through most of what is a witch hunt!!

I'm not basing my opinion on media. To be honest I didn't follow it. However I was aware of the amount that she was initially asking.

My comments are based on the words of the Judge who was present for all of the facts of the case. All of the facts that she presented and he presented and what the Judge found are in the PDF file.

She outright lied about several things and grossly embellished others.  The Judgment is quite an interesting read.

Yea I know what the judge said and he's prolly right in the context of the case, I do feel though that she has been demonized somewhat by the media.
Paul McCartney has had all the sympathy because of who he is!
At the end of the day, nobody knows how someone is to live with until you do!!
I wasn't having a go at you Acadia, I hope you knew that, just that I feel some sympathy for her!
I've been with someone who projects a beautiful persona in public but is a demon on earth in reality!!

I think she brought it all on herself actually.  She had designs on his money from the get go. She saw a wealthy older man who was still mourning the loss of his wife, and IMO took advantage of the situation.

Yes, he was a willing participant but he had lost his life partner and was lonely and vulnerable and the idea of a younger attractive woman interested in him was flattering.

It's too bad that he refused to do a prenuptual agreement though. He put way too much faith into her.

Maybe. He does have a great number of loyal fans and many consider him an icon. However much of the sympathy he got was because people saw a woman who had dollar signs in her eyes for his money.

They saw she was trying to use her "disability' to her advantage. She even played it up in the court hearing. She lost her leg years before she even met Paul, so it has no bearing on anything, yet it was one of the major facts of her case about why she needed so much money.

I know that :)

Ditto :)  But I still have no sympathy for her.

I do however hope that if there is a next time that he gets a prenup done and that he gets himself a vasectomy to prevent anyone else from taking mass advantage of him like she tried to do.  I think the 50 million that she got is still way more than she deserved.

I agree too. I don't know anybody who does have any sympathy for her and she hasn't done herself any favours by being so gobby.

my gut feeling is that i don't like her, might be something to do with her only ever dating squillionaires!!

i don't know paul so don't like or dislike him, be hard to hate the beatles work though.

but i do so hate hearing these celeb divorces, where the basis of the massive claim is that they need the money to pay for the "lifestyle to which they have become accustom", for some reason that really gets on my nerves!!.......why can't they adapt like real people and get back in the digs?

don't really want to get into slagging her off to much, but did really enjoy the amount she claims to of done for charity, being disputed, in so much as there is no record of her EVER making any charitable donations, and that her bank balance was in accordance to what she had been earning, there was no evidence to show that any of her earnings had gone out of her account to any charities...........just classic!!!

i think i resent her because when i turn on the news, i want real news, not some celeb whining on about poor me crap!!!!

i would much rather of heard that he had to pay a minimum for the welfare, upbringing and education, maybe even security, of thier daughter, but that he had decided to pay more as he would rather she got better than the courts had declared she needed. i dont think heather deserves anything.

(personal opinions above)

What a money

She's now out to prove that he's worth more than he's saying:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,341750,00.html

She said on the news that  $48.7 million isn't enough to support her child!!!

The £24 million is for her. He's paying £35,000 per year for their daughter. It actually said in one report that she'll only get £16 million as she's already overspent by £8 million. Maybe that's why she could only afford one first class plane ticket for herself and made her daughter travel econony class??? What other mother would do that? She's also been on TV saying that she never married Paul for his money and doesn't want his money - she can't blame the press for misquoting her there! So what if he's worth more than he's saying? He earned his £££millions long before they married so why should she get any of it? I've no sympathy for her at all. In my opinion she's earned herself the title of 'Mouth of the Tyne'!

I find her a despicable, unpleasant person. Sorry. I find anyone despicable that somehow needs 50 million dollars to live on.

" So what if he's worth more than he's saying? He earned his £££millions long before they married so why should she get any of it?"

Exactly. A fair settlement for me, would be if she got half of what he earned WHILE THEY WERE TOGETHER. No more. No one is entitled to anything a person earned before they were even a part of their life. And it's not like she's just a poor housewife. She earned her own money before they were married and while they were married. She's not freakin destitute or anything.

The whole thing disgusts me. I have problems staying alive and just buying food while these silly ass people argue over millions of dollars and who gets the second or third home and half the 37 cars.

Talent is God's gift to you. Using it is your gift to God.

Rebound is a tough emotional challenge..wrong decisions are easily made and all seems just fine at the time.  Sure, I know that.  Yet, I cannot even begin to try and judge the hearts and thoughts of others, including McCartney and Mills.

Later this year we hope to visit the UK.  While in London at the end of the trip, we hope to visit Abbey Road.  Liverpool is apparently trying to change a bit and become tourist attractive. We will wait and see on that.

For certain, we will try to visit the Abbey Road studios but Heather Mills will not even enter our thoughts.   The judge said it in rather clear language.      TomDart.      Photo Forum.
