Subject: How to convert raw. to tif

Trepz ( ) posted Mon, 31 March 2008 at 5:22 AM · edited Wed, 20 November 2024 at 7:00 PM

I am exporting .raw out of GeoCont4rol and trrying to convert it to .tif in PhotoshopCS2 and the only save as options i have are .raw,psd,and psb. what gives? and also,when i open the .raw in PS it tells me it is bigger than 1024,and when i choose 2048 it says it is smaller ect. No matter what the size this happens. This is really making me feel like a dumbass. What am I missing exactly?

Firstoff,

how to make 3 out of 1 thread =D

No mate I just don't see any problem using my Photoshop ( CS3 if that matters?! ) to make a tiff out of a raw..or raw out of tiff... or whatever

Maybe it is a problem with the file itself.

I always save my GC² projects so I can do adjustments and corrections later.

"Many are willing to suffer for their art. Few are willing to learn to draw."

I am of course using Vista,but i do not think that is an issue. My GeoControl 2 demo ran out or i would still be using it(;

Yes Trepz fortunately i learned how to open that correctly.

You put:

16bit
IBM PC
count 1 ( interleaved goes off )

that is for the 90% of the raw's there is, including the ones made by GeoControl(2).

Only that way it will show correclty as a grayscale image.

happy convertin' :)

Trepz the GeoControl2 Beta doesn't run out for you,

get the new build from the forums! ( 29 )

the time of the GC2-Beta is set and limited globally for everyone.

Trepz ( ) posted Mon, 31 March 2008 at 5:58 AM

I am getting 29 right now,and 28 did run out,said it has expired or whatever so i uninstalled it.Still doesn't solve my current debacle however with the Photoshop issue(;

Are you sure the image size in that window is correct?

Trepz ( ) posted Mon, 31 March 2008 at 7:44 AM

You must set the channels count  to 1 in the import dialog of PS and do not check "Interleaved", that's all.

Trepz ( ) posted Mon, 31 March 2008 at 10:20 AM

Yep,thats exactly what i did and it worked(; Realy love the new stuff in in GC2 BTW.You guys are doing a helluva job.
