I have a feeling this will either go really fast, or it will be really hard. What are we looking at here in the foreground?

It's so easy, tat this has to be a trick question ... I see a slightly textured work surface ... with something round resting there.  Riiiiight???

BTW, the round thingy could be the female connector on some fancy cable that TwoPynts is trying to market.
