I'm already shocked by the title of this thread. I do not want to watch the video to be scared. How to sign the petition without watch such video?

The video is not showing the dog starving, it is just a man explaining what happened (at least for the first 3/4, I clicked the petition link before the video finished). In any case here's the petition link http://www.petitiononline.com/ea6gk/petition.html. This really disgusts me, I can't believe that a gallery would allow this to be shown.

Well, I'm a sceptical soul, and I tried to find out a little bit more about this than just going by the original youtube guy's video. So I entered the artist's name into google, since the vlogger claimed you would be able to find out all about him from there. The fact is, almost everything I saw regarding him was other people's blogs reacting with outrage to this piece of work. Even within the blogs, where Vargas' words were apparently quoted, the link supplied with the quote came from yet another blog. It was swiftly becoming a wild goose chase.

I have so far found nothing on the net either from the artist himself, or from either of the two galleries involving this work - the one it's already been shown at, or the one being proposed for this year. Snopes.com has a listing for this, but is unable to verify or defintely consing the story to the urban myth dustbin yet.

I'm not saying this is all hogwash, but I am against kneejerk reactions on any level, be they 'wow, this must be great because X says it's art', or 'this is digstusting because X said so'. I try to find the facts nad make up my own mind. And so far, I've been able to find precious few facts about this particular case.
