Sorry for the slight detour, Connie.

Since I'm assuming there are a lot of Blackhearted's fans here, I thought I'd point out that CP has Karanta's Irina's Closet on sale for 90% off. If you still love Irina and have little she can wear, this might be the sale for you!

OK now back on target.
Those wrinkles on the boots are sweet Connie.
It's hard to see, but have you also added some wrinkles to the Achilles tendon area on the back of the boots? That's an area that usually gets some pretty strong wrinkles as well as the front of the boot where the ank;e bends.

On to the vest...  It looks like the plygons don't have peoblems with smoothing along the shoulder edge - this is with a pretty simple procedural shader in Poser, and Firefly render... So, I'm going to leave it be and not mess with polygon structure.

Onto creating morphs for the vest.  Tomorrow I'll run the vest through a few clothing sims, see if
we get interesting results. Tonight, I'll just make some fits for straps and holster.

Just thought i would post an update on the Netherworks Clothkit prop for GND4 im working on, so far all is going very well in the tests, and ive used 86 magnets so far, recon its gonna take about 120ish....will post pics when ready...

Getting old and still making "art" without soiling myself, now that's success.

Conniekat8 ( ) posted Tue, 08 April 2008 at 12:19 PM

ooh, cool, a magnet set to fit her clothes... Geat!

Conniekat8 ( ) posted Tue, 08 April 2008 at 4:26 PM

Thanks guys :)
Just a little progress FYI... I;m running some clothing sims and making morphs for the top vest today. Don't have too much fun stuff to show yet.

I also had to reinstall windows on my honey's computer yesterday... the kids got it virused up...  (No worries, my computers are separate from 'general public' use around the house)

And I have an interview for consulting work Thursday morning... usually by the time they wanna see you, they have something more serious in mind. The company is 3 miles from the house (not 45 like the last one)  I prefer consulting work anyway!

Blah blah blah :)

Thank You Thank You guys and gals :)
I probably won't have a whole lot done over next few days - till monday, have a bunch of RL things happening.

I made probably about a dozen or so wrinkle morphs on the suit, vest, boots holster, etc in last couple of days.

After that onto the body style fitting morphs :)

Now I can relax and play with GND Stormchaser project for next few weeks. whew

Good to hear you've got some work sorted out Connie!
I bet the best situation is having the perfect amount of time for both your work & your modelling.

Has creating the outfit been what you expected so far. Any difficulties you've come across which you didn't expect or new techniques you've learned?

So far, no major challenges. I think the biggest challenge on this pne is going to be body style fitting morphs. Some morphs on V4 (and just about any character) when you are making a body-tight piece are very subtle. I hope I can make them look good enough, and not have them come out too distorted.

After the wizard robe and all the flowy pieces, I wish this piece had more loose clothing parts to wave and flow around.

Very exciting bit of news... I made contact with AerySoul, As Shanim and Siliphiel told me they have already noticed this thread and have been very complimentary (I'm hyperventilating here that they even bother talking to me - Excuse me while I go faint)

So .... there will definately be an Alice fit. Little birdie tells me that Alice will go on sale very soon!
You can see details here: http://www.aerysoul.com/board/showthread.php?t=2540

Also, I bit the bullet and upgrading to Poser 7, to install on this new vista computer. A week on Vista, and I'm still alive. I guess it's not all bad LOL!
2 hours till the 1.6 GIG P7 download is done...

Who's Aerysoul? Never heard of them. Do they do any modelling for Poser?

You've definitely gone up in the world now Connie.
Oh no. wait, you're on the floor!

That's great, really great. To get positive comments from one of the best outfit modellers out there is a statement of how good your work is.

Connie, is it too late to add something to the wishlist? Should I take the number? 😉

When the Aeon Flux suit will be complete, could I propose to you another GND4 piece of cloth? I was thinking about the new Manhunter costume, worn by Kate Spencer.

A first picture can be found here:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manhunter_%28Kate_Spencer%29  and I have billions of others for the details...

When I have seen the GND morph, my first thought was "Kate!" because the look is similar and it's not your typical supermodel heroine...

And i'm too wondering about a 50/50 Alice/GND4 morph...

giorgio, that looks like an interesting outfit.

Well, there won't be a lot of progress this weekend, my honey is organizing a swim meet, which means I'm sucked in too. Plus, he managed to cut his head open so I hat to trake him to the ER for major stitching up. Enough to make me feel all punky and pukey.
I need to go rest... already exhausted and two more days of this.

Luckily for me, honey is flying out to Australia on Monday... he's a head Coach for the US Masters (18 and older) swim team. There's about 200 of them going to FINA Masters games. He'll be gone for two weeks. I may get a few things done in that time! :)
Of course, he had to organize a three day long reginal meet just before the trip... as if he didn't have anything else to do. Gotta love him!
The flight to Sydney is about 18 hours, so he'll have a chance to sleep then, I guess LOL

Connie, I'm still having issues with the strap. First, it didn't want to hold onto the ring and bunched up. I made it, the band, a hard decoration like the ring, and ran another sim pictured here. Now, the band stays still, and cuts through V4's neck. As much as I'd like to have this 100% dynamic, I might have to make this dress a hybrid. Let me know what you think. -Starkdog
