Won't be joining in this time.

Even if by some slim chance I won, it wouldn't be fair.............But I still had to give this theme a try. Great Choice Fran!!

The entire composition is amazing and is a good proof what is possible in Bryce for the doubters.

I like how you always make those pipe things... :)

Well done mate...I still haven't been able to get Bryce in...sigh...dunno why but I'll keep trying.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

The model and the ice texture are fantastic. I like very much this idea between reality and science fiction... and it seems a very cold place.

And what if you did win again, why would that not be fair? I think you should enter it, it's bloody excellent!

Great image & you should have entered!

I saw the image before reading this thread.  I am hoping your bowing out of challenge isn't permanent.  Now back to the gallery to post a suitable comment, like "you rock"

dhama ( ) posted Sun, 13 April 2008 at 5:34 PM

Well I refuse to comment on it unless you enter it. :tongue2:

Funny thing. Here in the UK they are screaming about the Gov building more Nuke Plants and how we should save energy, but right beneath our feet is all the energy we'll ever need.

Outstanding and very inspiring work! What a great idea to use a negative Terrain, to create this crack in the foreground with a negative terrain... If i may copy this idea sometime? :)

Very nice depth of field in this - barely noticeable.  I like the direction on the gentle smoke from the plumes of flame too - looks like a calm day on the icepack.  Excellent interpretation.
