Do any here watch "New Amsterdam" on Fox? I don't watch much TV but this show really hooked me however it appears Fox may not bring the series back. Oh well I guess there are plenty of boring reality, which isn't reality, programs to gum up modern TV.  Crap maybe I am just too easily entertained..lol!

Bionic Woman and Jerico were cancelled, and I think reaper was cancelled as well. 8(

Least Supernatural will be getting a new season!

They did go ahead and cancel Jerico? I thought there was a massive out cry by viewers not to cancel it and CBS reconsidered? As I said I am not into too much TV LOL!

Jerico's was revived, and it's ratings were worst by FAR then they were, so they finally pulled the plug for good a week or two ago.

JERICHO started great, then went all "men in black" on everything, which kinda killed the premise, IMHO.

I got to see a few episodes of AMSTERDAM, and it is (was?) quite cool.

I watched and am convinced that his partner Marques is The One.

I like your theory.

That is a bummer, one of the shows I actually enjoyed watching.
There isn't one Reality (No Reality) shows that I would be interested in watching.

Who mentioned reality tv!!
Please god, what did I do deserve to be punished in this way.
I very rarely watch the the telly so when I do the very sight of these freak shows has me in a rage!
I'd rather watch paint dry. And being a former painter & decorator I know how tedious this is!

Scary thing is, it's getting ratings better then bigger budget "story" shows. Odds are, we'll have to stomach more of it before we see teh light at the end of it's tunnel.

They were already in season 3, then started the re-runs during the strike....have you heard if they are going to start the new shows yet? I have only seen a couple of the season 3 ones.  I love that show :)

A friend of mine watches most of this stuff, Big Brother, X-Factor, etc etc. I went round the other night & she forced me to watch Britain's Got 'NO' Talent!
WTF!!
I can see why Amanda Holden ends up in floods of tears, I was close to it myself!

stormchaser ( ) posted Tue, 15 April 2008 at 1:08 PM

I'm open to criticism now but I do enjoy watching Lost. I've seen the first three seasons. I'm waiting for Virgin Central to have Season 4 up so I can watch as many episodes as I want when I want.
I actually watched the third season thinking it was going to finish at the end of it, but oh no!

Acadia ( ) posted Tue, 15 April 2008 at 1:11 PM

I haven't watched it. What night is it on?

I'm thrilled that Moonlight was picked up and will be airing it's first new episode since the end of the writer's strike, this Friday!

I didn't care much for the new Bionic Woman, and I never saw Jericho.

Anyone watch "Eli Stone"? It's hysterical and quirky. It was a mid season introduction. I hope it gets picked up as a regular series.

I haven't seen it, but why didn't the Bionic Woman do very well?
I thought the US would love Michelle Ryan. Yeah, I'm shallow!

Bionic woman sucked because they pushed a relationship with her kid sister on use weekly, and didn't give her any antagonist's worthy of her additional powers.

Plus they never introduced BigFoot...

*"It's like a breath of fresh Air.

*LOL- that's why they call it a FANTASY  :P
I watch it too. :D

I started watching JERICHO on the sci-fi channel. It was pretty good (the first part) but so much of it became a republican worst case scenario. (like the show 24) 20 cities nuked and it took 6 or 8 months to reestablish contact. I think not!!!  Especially with the whole rest of the world NOT NUKED. A tragedy for sure, a (localize) ecological disaster, yup. But an end to civilization and the american way, not even close.
And then a power grab and splitting up of america- (rasbarry sound).
Kinda reminded me of that old movie "RED DAWN" (everything you would want to know about the conservative viewpoint).

Dosn't (on the sci-fi channel) the new season of Doctor Who start this Friday?

I really like Tourchwood, but I admit that my culturalization (I'm over 50) makes me squrm a bit when Capt Jack and friends are kissing or humping. But I do like the shows.

I wish they'd bring back "Eureka" and "The Dead Zone"

I'll wait and see on "The Adventures of Sarah Jane" might be good, we'll see.

And most of all- DROP ALL THE GHOST crap- thats NOT Sci-fi   !!!! put that junk on the horror channel or the 700 club.

Hah, nice one! That really brings back the memories of watching The Six Milion Dollar Man in the late 70's. I was only a little sprog then but I loved it.

I don't watch much TV, so I don't know what y'all are talking about.

Well.......let me amend that by saying that I did have the History International channel going last night, as background while I worked on my PC.  They were playing an interesting series on the Dark Ages.

The Dark Ages were a perfect time for liberalism to flourish -- the power of the government to dictate how the people lived their lives was absolute; and most all property was either confiscated for taxes or else owned outright by the Central Authority of the Sacred State.  That is to say: everything that wasn't destroyed or carried off by the invading barbarians of various stripes -- barbarians from whom the Central Authority couldn't protect the hapless serfs.......the stupid rabble of serfs who expended their lives in futile labors working for the government, so that the government could then dole bare-survival rations back out to them & earn the serf's eternal gratitude & support in doing so.  In other words: such money & property as the serfs were allowed to keep was regarded as charity by the government -- which had so graciously permitted the serfs to retain.  The serfs should have been properly thankful for that sort of treatment.

The governments back then couldn't have those serfs getting too uppity, ya know.  If they weren't taxed to the point where they were forced to depend upon the government for everything -- including the bare essentials of life -- then that rabble might have started gettin' ideas.  Like maybe that they were free, and that they didn't need the government to run their lives for them.  Couldn't have that.

And those bloody-minded, invading barbarians?  They were all just a myth.  The barbarians didn't exist -- so there was no need for the serfs to worry about silly stuff like that.  Any news reports that the serfs heard to the contrary which talked about invading hordes, bent on killing all of them, were just so much right-wing propaganda.

Ah......it was so wonderful living in the Dark Ages.  So simple.  All that was required was for you to keep your head down & do precisely as you were told to by the government.  The beginning of the end for the Dark Ages came when the serfs started to own their own property & make their own money -- which they then kept.  Ugh.  What a radical thought.  Sure made things tough on the parasitic government types, though.

Jericho was a city in ancient Canaan.  Beyond that: I haven't heard of the TV series.

Reality TV, don't know why anyone watches it. It's not even real LOL. Reruns because of the writers strike. Why do they call it reality TV?

Sara Jane, still not sure what to make of it. The character is a bit flaky. To chick flick for me.

Eureka was well done and had some great humour. I would like to see a new season too.

Right now, BSG is working but I'm glad it's the last season.

So the best action, drama and suspense on the tube right now are the NHL playoffs. It's got it all.

I hope Amsterdam does come back next season. Would be cool. I think his partner might be the one, or maybe his new boss.

What do you mean reality tv isn't real and that it sucks? I love each and every one of them. Not really. The only one I watch is Fetch, with Ruff Ruffman on PBS and that's cause my kid likes it.

Anyone else like Moonlight? Or an I the only vampire show nut?
