Hi!

May I please.......? -ask a Q?-  ;-D

Vue 6.6 installed (has installed itself as 64 bit, YES! THX, guys! :-D) on the new machine & working, but all of a sudden all views, except the camera view & preview, have turned GREY ..... (surprise? ;-D)
The other ports only show the frames of what is selected, after 1 click.
This is annoying! ;-D
(What did appear for the first time was a Vue 6 Inf icon ;-))

Anyone have a clou where they have gone?
Or, more specific, what I have done (wrong)?

THX? :-D

Don't really understand what's happening. Could you post a screengrab?

Hi Bruno!

Thank you so much for your time & trouble!!!

Screengrab is a little difficult at the mom, since I only installed Vue, Poser & virus control so far... (and a wonderful little proggie I use 'all the time' called Ccleaner > www.ccleaner.com. It's free -careful while installing, it 'offers' the Google tool bar as well).

But since you are probably more familiar with the Vue interface than I...
top view is gray, side view is gray, front view gray, (meaning nothing there!), main camera view OK. As is everything on the right side (preview, material)...
Nothing in the scene shows up in other views than the camera view.
But when selected (whether a terrain or tree or ......) the 'outlines'  show up in other views when you click them. As white lines on a gray background. You know... the outline frame on which you can pull, drag, shrink, etcetera.
Looks ridiculous, not good. ;-D

I have looked at display options, but don't seem to be missing check marks (or my english isn't good enough ;-D)

Thank you again!!!

Which version are you running. I was not able to use the beta version due to a non-responding interface, but the latest official release 292547 works. I have XP Pro 64bit.

Check ypour view display settings, by clicking the little icon in the top toolbar of each view (not the camera icon, the other one), and see if they are set to smooth shaded.
Also check in your general display options (under the "file" menu, that background draw thread is enabled. Also, take the graphic card compatibility test, same window.
What Vue are you using (Esprit, Pro,etc, etc,), which  version (6.5, 6.6,) with the built number ( you can find this information under the Help menu, about Vue6, what OS on your machine? What graphic card?

By the way, Vista Ultimate64 I don't know about any other version, automatically deletes internet files after you've left themm except cookies ;)

I also wouldn't use a registry cleaner that is not vista 64 certified
registrey cleaners are awesome, but vista is a bit cleaner than XP, and different.

to add to what bruno21 said, create a new file, and see if it happens then. If not, add some small item, see if it happens. I usually lose my view screens when my video memory begins to run short. Especially true if the it is anything but wireframe selected. To compensate, I have to divide the image into layers and click them on and off when I work on the scene. (512MB video Ram, 1GB Ram- pushing the Macbook Pro as far as it will go, and having a wonderful time.)
