There are new ones every day, but I really found this photo impressive for the sheer magnitude of what it captures. Be sure to read the description. Thanks. :')

Great shot and explanation...I'd have missed much without the words telling me where to look for what...thanks man.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

It is a wonderful photograph - a reminder of what is there when the conditions are right to see it.
Thanks Kort I enjoyed looking .

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

I wonder if Andreas can take one of those.

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

I asked him. He's too far south. When he travels north again, he said he'd give it a shot. ;']

An amazing photograph.  The explanation makes it even more amazing...

That really is a great shot but unfortunately views like this are becoming increasingly rare due to the huge increase in light pollution. Here in the UK, even in rural areas similar to where I live, it's impossible to escape the ghastly glow of streetlights.

Great googlie-mooglie that's a cool shot!
Thanks for the post - made waking up worth it (I'm normally still asleep at this time - this is an early morning for me)!
