Subject: Victoria 4.2 eye controls

I'm still having a real hard time warming up to using  V4; one of the things for her that I haven't been able to find that I use all the time in V3 is some sort of eye control dials that can be added (letting you move her eyes L, R, U, D from selecting her head instead of moving each eye). Does anyone know if there is a morph or script for this yet?

In my install, in the Morphs++ set of morphs, there is a pair of dials that gets added to the Head:
Morphforms -> Morphs++ -> EyesUp-Down and EyesSide-Side

Thanks for the tip; I don't see that on my V4, but I may have to redownload and install the ++ morphs...I haven't done anything with V4 in months, so it might have been updated.

Yeah there has been a major updated recently, from 4.1 to 4.2.  Good luck :)

file_404401.TXT

If you have P6 or later you could try the file linked above. It adds dials to the Body to rotate (side-side & up-down) and translate both eyes at once. It should work on almost any figure.

Save the file to a pose folder. It is named "EyesMove.pz2.TXT", delete the ".TXT" part of the file extension.

For some different ways to do the same thing, that work in earlier versions of poser, see  "Injecting ERC slaving (part 3)"  and " Injecting ERC slaving (part 4)."  in this thread:

 You can also try using "Point At", and have both eyes point at a simple prop object, made invisible (make sure the prop is a bit distant so your character doesn't look cross-eyed). I use this all the time for animating.--Tim

The point at thing doesn't work so well for V4 (I never have much with it ever) but in the morphforms there is one to move the eyes together that works well.

Lucky!  I have never gotten the dial for both eyes to work, single eyes are not a problem, but, both eyes don't move at all.  What could I be doing wrong? :glare: I'm using the most up to date version of V4.

Stevie this happened to me when I had mixed versions of V4.1 and V4.2.  It didn't go away until I removed all files related to older versions and installed only V4.2.  Unfortunately that left me without a Dev version, which I'm now actually interested in using, but at least it fixed the dials.
