Challenge Arena F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 12:58 pm)

Okay, I have two images currently out I'd like to enter into this, plus 3 others I'm toying with doing (depends on stamina and inspiration of course). A few questions though:
What are the image guidelines?
Where do I have to post them to?
Can I just link to my gallery where they are posted if you can use already made pieces?
PS, I'm kicking myself for missing last month's challenge. Darn it.
Everyone can enter, whether they are using 2D, 3D, fractal, animation or any other software; whether they are photographers, writers or even musicians. The challenge arena is open to all. Come and join in, test your creative tools against all the others! You may enter an existing work if you like, but we would prefer to see a new work created for this challenge... it IS a challenge after all, lol! You may enter more than one work, but remember that in the voting, each entry will be judged separately. Please, please, please put titles on your entries, especially if you have more than one.
You can post an image here in this thread, or link us to a larger image in a gallery, or even both!

Okay. I have 2 previous images that I've posted that I would like at least to share in the offing since they fit the challenge perfectly. I'm working on 2-3 other ideas for this challenge that I hope to see come to fruition... but with my work schedule going the way it is, we'll see what comes out. If you would prefer that I add the disclaimer "not for entry" on the ones that are previously posted, I shall, to be fair to others.

Good morning,
Forgive me but I have to enter another poem... I didn't want to enter again but the words just won't let me be and keep shouting in my head to be exposed (Yep, they are flashers... lol)

there is that lazy place in time, between dawn's sun rising and your lover's first stirrings... that time of reflection and sultry finger-tracings inspired my entry this month...michael

Better late than never LOL ;)
The time on the post is Renderosity time, Central Time in the US, it's always at the top of the page. Entries or links to entries are being posted in this thread, voting will be in the same place, see a previous challenge thread if you need an example. I suppose that you could write or post in any language, but English is Renderosity's official language and most people can at least get along in it. I'm not sure you would get many votes in another language since very few people would be able to read it. That being said, it's not forbidden, but whatever language it is, it should conform to the Terms of Service.
Heads up! The challenge will be closing soon, so get those last minute entries in! Let me know if you need a bit more time to render.

It's wonderful to see some new faces this month! We have a number of linked images this month, so be sure to look at them all. It's time to let the voting begin! The voting will be in this thread, after this entry. You get to choose your 3 favorite entries, giving each of them 3, 2 or 1 points. Remember, you are choosing an entry, not an artist. If someone has posted more than one entry, you need to indicate which is your choice.
Your vote should look something like this:
Day - "Break" - 3 points
Sun - "Rise" - 2 points
Early - "Morn" - 1 point
Feel free to nominate Honorable Mentions or make comments.

I must agree that pictures like the ones entered into the challenge are worth more than a thousand words in any language!
So my choices are as follows:
Orbital - "Awakening" 3 Points
TwoPynts - "Sunrise in Florida" - 2 Points
Tanglimara - "Playa Blanca Dawn" - 1 point
I wish I could give all the rest 1 point each for the effort and creativity that has gone into their work. Lovely effort!

There must have been a some confusion with the language but I understood it too as entries being accepted until May 27. Voting until the 30th. That seems fair to me. You could still share your work salah_snz .
Kort Kramer - Kramer Kreations
I'm so sorry salah_snz! The original posting stated the deadline was May 27. I let it pass until the evening of the next day in case anyone was a little late getting in their entries. I am also going to allow voting for an extra day since that seems a little slow.
These challenges are ongoing, we have one every month or two. The only prize is that you get to choose the next topic. I am looking forward to seeing your work in future challenges.

Fractals will always amaze me!
Well done everyone, it was nice to see work by people from different parts of the community.
Well I given this some thought, and I 'd like to go with a Space theme if thats ok. As it's the first time I've entered I'm not sure if that has been a recent theme, so if it needs changing Tresamie let me know.
So think planets, stars, spaceships, rockets, aliens etc.
Cheers
Joe

Hi everyone,
stormchaser has asked me to post this challenge for April/May:
"I was thinking of something related to 'dawn', whether this be nature in the early morning or things we do which are associated to this time of the day."
Get your thinking caps on, because I think we can also stretch it to include the dawn of time, ideas dawning and any number of creative thoughts!
I would like to run this through 23:59 Renderosity time on May 27, voting to run through 23:59 Renderosity time on May 30, with results being posted on May 31. I will give you a heads up a day or so ahead of closing.
Let your imagination run wild!
