**mdg has posted a wonderful Carrara Underground Parking Garage set.

Here is the thread at Daz http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=83912&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

**Here's an Underground Parking set I buit for a render. I only used a small section for the render but I designed it so you can expand to what ever size you want.

FYI: Most of it is textured with very big textures resulting in a very big download. When I say big I mean 350MB
You need Carrara 6 to use it. I don't know if it will work with Express

You can download the 4 files from http://rapidshare.com/users/TKE20
You need Winzip to re-assemble the 4 files.

You can see larger versions of the images here (no post work done on images - except the one with Vicky):

Anyway, to quote from the readme file
The parking structure is modular in construction allowing you to add/delete sections / walls / floors as needed.
The scene as delivered is 3 sections wide (left, center, right) and 3 sections deep. Intersection groups separate the main sections.

Groups include:
Leftside
Center
Rightside
Intersection
Rear Wall

Included props include:
Wooden shipping skids
Garbage dumpster
Recycling bin
Metal Barrels - 1 burning with fire primitive
Broken bottles

Feel free to let me know if you encounter any problems with it.

(I didn't post his pictures included in the post)**

Want to say Thanks to mdg for letting  us have this.  I am learning from looking at this scene.

I didn't have a car to put in but thought his would be fun, but doesn't really show off the Garage.

It's a great set piece!

Truly an amazing set.  This looks like so many real life parking garages, for a moment I imagined I was in that place, looking for my car.

DOH! :) LOL though I had the Monster rags knawing at something in the corner before I put the troll in... Chuckles I can't believe I forgot about the objects that came with Carrara.

Still, you're better off downloading cars for any shot where they're up close. Seems like 90% (if not more) of the cars that come with Carrara are either placeholder or distant object quality. (Unless you like that blocky low-poly look.)

Barbequed Pixels?

Your friendly neighborhood Wings3D nut.
Also feel free to browse my freebies at ShareCG.
There might be something worth downloading.

Is there an alternate source for these files.  I was only allowed to DL the first part of the zip file and then Rapidshare tells me I have reached the maximum download limit for free accounts and tries to sell me a premium account.  I really hate rapidshare.

Not yet but he is working on someplace.  Just grab the other files over time I think it makes you wait 2 hours without an account.  Its how Rapidshare makes its money for providing storage and bandwidth.  When he gets it posted I will (or hopefully he will) post here.
