Thanks to all entrants..this was very hard for me to vote, picking one against the others once my selection was narrowed down to few.  Congratulations to all and thanks to all who entered for your work.

Are we allowed to challenge the announced winners? I agree with the first place and second place results. If the vote of scoleman123 was disallowed for being after the voting deadline, then according to my reckoning No. 11 should be awarded 3rd place as it had 2x 1st, 1x2nd and 2x3rd. Apologies in advance if I am mistaken. Congratulations to all the winners. Not that it makes any difference to me, but I like to see fair results in competitions. Looks like next time I'll have to grab myself an old wrinkly to photograph as they seem to do well in the voting, hehehe. Apologies again if any of the winning submissions were self portraits ;p

Hi Pushinfaders

Thanks for the explanation regarding the points system, as a newbie to competitions I was unaware of the scoring system. I thought it was like the Olympics with rankings of gold, silver and bronze medals. However, with the new information, it would appear that No 57 and 19 tied on equal points.

No.57 5x1st 1x2nd and 3x3rd totalling 31pts.
No.19 4x1st 3x2nd and 2x3rd totalling 31pts.

If the judges made a decision to award first place to No.57 entry, can they say what aspects of entry 57 swung the vote in its favour, just out of interest to those who aspire to take better images?

Sorry to add to your burden of work/commitments

Hi Photographers,
Guess I am the winner,Thank You all who participated and voted  for me I understand it was a close one, anyway to the photo,it is a good friend that I look up to, he has been around the world and even worked as a carnie the (circus) by the folds in the skin it tells the story. And he will be so proud!
The camera was a point and shoot model a Nikon, which now I have updated to a Nikon D60 and only shoot in RAW,and let me tell you if you take alot of photos and have to process these like everyone please look-in to getting Lightroom from adobe you will tell your self why haven't I done this yet. Back to the photo, I convered it to black and white and there are so many methods and I am going to share this with you, don't know if you ever heard of GREG GORMAN a famous photographer for Hollywood but every actor if you are somebody goes to him for a portfolio. Here is the formula I used "Black & White Conversion" with some creative dodgeing and burning on a seperate layer filled with 50% gray change the blend mode to overlay and with a soft brush painting in black for the darking and white as for the hi-lites at a low opacity in both the opacity and flow I think in the flow I used 30% and in the opacity 10 or less. Don't try to create quick results work all over the photo and slowly it will build something you will be proud of.
In conclusion I like to thank all the forum moderators, they are professional photographers just look at there work, and Renderosity and the people who really deserve it, thats the artists here.
I humbly accept this honor and I hope to see you again, Have a great week!
Ron Deviney
