Subject: Can I apply mimic program into my model?

smalll ( ) posted Sat, 03 May 2008 at 5:33 PM · edited Thu, 09 January 2025 at 3:30 PM

I made a animation model by 3ds max 8.

You can download it.

I want to apply mimic program in my model.
But, I think it is impossible.
Do you know the way?
Can you help me?
Please....

Mimic only works on figures that have existing expression morphs that it recognises.

There's a complete tutorial on customizing your figure to work with mimic in the DAZ Mimic forums. You can find the tutorial here:

First, you'll need to change your model from MAX format to OBJ.

Then set it up as a figure in Poser.

After that, the most important morphs for the Head are

OpenLips    (opening both the jaw and the lip for talking)
MouthO        (rounded lips)
MouthF         (jaw partly open, lips set for F or W sound)
Mouth M        (jaw partly open, lips closed)

TongueT
If your model doesn't have a tongue, don't worry.  This is really
meant to be the lip-shape for sounds like S or T.

You can add more, but these will do the job.

Dear LostinSpaceman and ockham
I can never thank you enough.
I offer you my heartfelt thanks for your favor.
I have no words to express my gratitude.
I'll try.

When making Mimic morphs in the past, I usually load the P4 man or woman side by side with my figure and set their mimic morphs to 1 before trying to immitate those morphs on my own figures.
