I posted a thread on this a couple years ago, and just today stumbled apon the old file.  Thought I'd throw it out here again because it's soooo cool. 

This rose is made entirely from a Brycean tree and only altered in the tree lab.  The stem is made of another bryce tree.  you just have to position them correctly and group.  it looks good from all angles.

Just note that on the flower tree,  you must make the trunk completely transparant.

Superb! ....if the Bryce trees looked like trees in the first place LOL. But the rose certainly looks like a rose.

Thanks for the tip! I tried it and it works... Now I'm not sure about the stem leaves... Do you make those transparent or do you use the same material as you do for the trunk?

I love it tho... Experimented using both... I don't think I would want a rose with gray leaves...  :lol:

Cool stuff man...thanx for posting. Ever think of uploading this to Bryce tutorials. It's very simple and we walk you through it....just thought I'd ask because that way it would stay more current than in a Forum that goes to archive eventually.. ...

 

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

*Just use a green leafy texture.  Whatever you want your leaves to look like.

Playing with your nice tutorial and some textures that I have for leaves, this comes up. A lot of funny with your idea.

That's really cool.  I've never really expanded from that rose, but obviously there is more flower potential than I thought.  Nice job!
