Subject: V4 to V3 textures?

Hi :) I was wondering if there is a known way to take a v4 texture and switch it over to v3?

Not yet.  There are texture converters at Daz that will allow conversion of textures from one figure to another. But the V4 to V3 one is still in development.

dphoadley has a remapped V3 to V4 in his store that will allow you to use V3 textures on V4. But currently there is nothing that will go the other direction.

I'm still waiting for Steve's UTC. The V4 textures are to die for and would look great on V3.

Especially now that all the artitsts have kicked V3 to the curb :-{   Too bad, when thousands still have her.

UTC 2 has been pushed back about 2 years.  The current UTC will convert V3 face maps to V4 but that's about it.  The V3 to V4 plugin is free.  DP Hoadly did a terrific job remapping V4 so it will take V3 textures.  It's a little pricey but if you have a lot of V3 textures, it may be worth the price.
