there's some programs out there that supposedly reduce polygons. Can't remember names, but if you stop by the modeling forum here, they should know.
other things that help would be to check your mat files, and see how big they are. A lot of lights can do things like that.

Quote - This model was created in Bryce 6.1 but it has an incredibly high polygon count so the program seems to have hit its limit. Any ideas on how to reduce polygons so I can complete this image will help greatly. I have tried to eliminate parts of the image and import them back in but Bryce seems to have a mind of its own and randomly distributes the parts.
hi i don't know if this will help you but i use AC3D for certain things as optimizing vertices and surfaces can really cut down some size. There is a trial there if you would like to try.

Hang on! How many polys are we taking about?
This sounds more like corrupt parts than too many polys.

And in my final hours - I would cling rather to the tattooed hand of kindness - than the unblemished hand of hate...
I've used more then half a billion poly's before... so that shouldnt be it...
But i do recognize the distributed parts problem.. it happened in older bryce versions with groupings and moved origin points and such. avoinding those kinds of things might help too. If that is what is happening anyways...
