Blender F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 23 10:50 am)
Quote - I need a help to make a realistic hair for my newly created (newly mean really new coz i'm new in this 3d world and i choose blender over maya and 3ds max, because for a silly reason which is the logo/icon or whatever it maybe).
Anyway i've tried so many ways could be found in google, from fiber python script, particle and curve guide, and the last one would be patch over a year ago made by Jahka. but i still haven't satisfied yet. Maybe anyone can help me? please i 'm obsessed with this BLENDER.
Are you creating hair for Blender? to render in Blender? or is this to export to other 3D apps?
Blender has a new particle component in which you could create hair that can be exported to other 3D programs
Monterey/Mint21.x/Win10 - Blender3.x - PP11.3(cm) - Musescore3.6.2

i'm creating hair to render in Blender (but i really don't get what you mean by that). the main thing is that i want to make hair inside Blender.
About the screenshot, i'm working at it, i'm lack of screen capture software.
To get clearer, i need a help in creating hair for my model in Blender, i can make the particle to the shape that i want but only in the front view while the rear is too stiff or messy either way. what should i do, right now i'm using Blender 2.45 and a patch from 2.43 from Jarhka. i just don't get it....
regarding screen captures:
You don't need special software, any keyboard that has a "print screen" button will let you take a picture of your screen. Alt+print screen will take a picture of just the current window. You may have to paste (ctrl+v) into a paint program and save it, if you haven't got one something like MS Paint will do :)

It's a good idea using the new particle system, but you don need wait until next release since last testing builds are pretty stable. So you can download the last one to make tests before using the release.
Here is a link to a simple but good tutorial:

Thank u very much everybody.
got the last build and the newest particle system. already trying creating hair now result : not bad, still confuse because the diffrence between the UI in tutorial and the build but i could do this. One thing become my question now. There is a new option on F7 button called physics, with clothes tabs etc, is it the same like the old clothes python script or is it being developed and how does this work. any tutorial i can dl?

The cloth thing is new, based on the softbody physics. You could do cloth before with just the softbody stuff, but this adds some things that make it easier to get it right. The [change log](http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/BlenderDev/ClothSimulation) for the development version has a pretty good explanation of how to use it, along with other new features. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
