I've read this through several times and I must admit I am lost as well. When you've lost an Aussie, and a Yank, maybe there's a problem in translation, of either language or basic terms. Carrara is an all around 3D modeling, rendering and animation program, but I do not know of a way of "assembling" photographs in it other than assigning them as textures to 2D planes. Perhaps a little more explanation of what you wish to achieve would be in order, so we can help you, or at least steer you towards another app that could accomplish what you wish.

Has anyone heard of a program called "Amara",I found it surfing the net and it seems to do what I want for $50 U.S? Although I was hoping to achieve the  same results in Carrara Pro!
Cheers

What I am trying to achieve is making a virtual house.By this I mean shooting still photographs exterior and interior of a house, assembling them in a program, putting them on a website so the user can manoever with control of a mouse walk through and pan and zoom room by room etc.Real Estate agents seem to using this a lot when selling houses. Cheers

Carrara is really not meant for this. Unless you model and texture the entire house. What you are looking for is kind of what Apple had a few years ago called QuckTime VR. VR standing in for virtual reality.

I don't now much about this subject but from what little I learned you get a tripod with a wide angle lens. You shoot a picture and you move the tripod. If I recall, they have specialized computerized tripods that you hook to a laptop and it dose the moving. But it can also be achieved by a crafty person.

After acquiring the photographs, their is software that helps you seem them in to a cohesive pattern that would simulate the inside of a sphere, with your photos perfectly seemed. This might be that software that you say costs $50, but I am speculating.

Again, Carrara is not designed for this, but I guess it could be done by texturing the inside of a sphere, if it is even possible. The problem would be to get the correct output file that could be read by a web browser.

You are not looking for Carrara, you are looking for Canoma.

This has since been bought by adobe and turned into adobe atmosphere, and seeing as that is now a discontinued product you might be out of luck, unless you know where to look ;)
