Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 05 9:36 pm)
After loading your V4.2 figure, look in your Poses folder for the folder called Morph Injections. In there you will find the action "Inj Morphs++ V4". Apply that to your figure, and all the Morphs will be available.

Macht nichts, kann auch Deutsch!
Very strange - I have saved morph settings for V4.1 and used them in V4.2 no problem.
Are you sure the Inj Morphs++ is doing its job, i.e. all the Morphs++ parameters are present and working? If so, then it must be your saved morph files. If you want, you can send me one by email and I will try it on my V4.2 - that might help to locate the problem. I can also compare the contents with one of mine. Send me a message if you like, and I will let you know my email address.

are the faces saved in pose files? if so they can be applied to V4.2 once you apply the morphs++ pack, if not perhaps explaining what form the faces were in will help us figure out what you should do. were these faces that you created yourself by dialing in the settings and saving the figure back to the library? were they commercial packages you purchased?
Quote - Have you inject the morphs from daz victoria 4 pose folder??? Old V4 had her morph in the figure, but now you need to put them on like old V3...
Actually V4.2 took a step backwards. With V3 if you were using a character addon, all you had to do was click the INJ morph for the character, you didn't need to inject all of the head and body morphs for the figure. On occasion I found a freebie that required injecting the head and body morphs before you could use the character addon morphs, but I never encountered a commercial package like that.
With V4.1 you didn't need to do anything but load the figure and inject the character addon.
With V4.2 you have to inject the figure's morphs before you inject the character addon ones. So it seems it's gone backwards in time.

thats only true of products that were built for V4.0 or V4.1, its just that most merchants produced their character add-ons before DAZ went back to the Mil 3 system of offering the ability to only inject the morphs one needs rather than loading the figure down with everything, so most didn't have any need to include readscript code that wasn't needed for V4.0 or V4.1, with V4.2 developers can go back to using something like Injection pose builder to load the morphs along with their settings. Which system is best is certainly arguable, personally I like the ability to only load morphs I need rather than weigh down a figure with everything, and if I have a character that was designed for V4.1 I simply load a figure that has been preloaded and resaved back to the library.
Most characters (that I know of) have separate morph INJ poses for body and face, and another one for the skin. Did you apply the one for the face morphs?
Try re-loading V4.2, applying the Morphs++, then applying the face/body morphs. It should not make any difference which order you do it in, but the ReadMe files for many characters always say do it in this order.

Another thing - after installing V4.2 into your runtime, did you run the V4.2 update utility that comes with it? I believe you must do this after installing the Morphs++ package. I'm not sure exactly what it does, though. Just a thought in case things still are not working for you.

A thought....
If you are installing both V4.1 and V4.2 because you intend to use both of them at different times, my gut feeling would be to put them in separate Runtimes, just to make sure they are completely independent of each other. That is what I did, but not based on any particular reason, just to be tidy and safe.

Yes, in Poser you can add links to many Runtimes. Just go up to the top level in the Libraries palette, click the + sign at the bottom, and find your new Runtime folder (the one that was created when the products were installed). The name of the new Library in Poser will be the name of the PARENT folder of the new Runtime.
For example, I have folders called Main Library, V4.1 Library, V4.2 Library, A3 Library, etc, and each of those folders contains a separate Runtime.
I'm a bit lost as to why it won't open your files, I'm afraid, sorry.
